The Liberty Theater Show, Feb. 17, 2007

The first photo shows U.S. Park Ranger Claudia Wood contending with the nose of a pesky Mardi Gras who turned out to be the show's host, Dr. Barry Ancelet. Several photos show the Pine Leaf Boys, with Zydeco Joe Citizen joining them on rubboard. The other band for the evening, shown in the next row, was Howard Noel Jr. and Cajun Boogie. Other photos show a visit from the Basile Mardi Gras, led by Capitaine Potic Rider, who was interview by Barry Ancelet before leading the Mardi Gras in their song. As they exited, the Mardi Gras begged for donations, the traditional "cinq sous" or, for those audience members who could spare it, the more contemporary "une piastre."
